Simply Vaastu: For positive energy at home

The application of Vaastu rules in maintaining a house is crucial since they are responsible for positive energy and prosperity.

Here are a few tips for our readers:

*Always have bright lights and use good odours in homes. This will control the unpleasant odours and negative vibrations, which drain the flow of money and positive energy.

*The windows of the home should be kept open at least for some hours to have fresh energy and air, which is necessary of one's overall development Sweeping the floor should be done towards the inside of the house. Never direct the cleaning action towards the main door. This will cause reduction in wealth.

*All the doors should be open fully. A door opened partly will limit the opportunities and affect the ability to make a good and comfortable living.

*Always sleep with firm wall behind the head. This will motivate you to succeed in your daily life.

*Windows are never recommended behind the head A pond in the garden area is a very good creator of positive energy but if not maintained well it creates negative energy. If it is not possible to take care of the pond, close it to avoid adverse effects.

*Keep open all the curtains of doors and windows during daytime. But close it during the night since darkness brings in bad luck.

*Large trees close to the house and near the door will draw positive energy of the home. So trim or cut the branches and keep them away from walls.

*If the desk or computer is against a wall it may adversely affect the progress of your career. So always keep them at a distance from the wall.

A famous mountain climbing expert who trains mountain climbers begins the training with two weeks of….nothing.

That’s right, rest.

His belief is that you can literally climb a mountain if your body is prepared for it and that requires rest.

Make sure you have enough down time to think, recharge and keep healthy in the year ahead. All comes from nothing and if you want the world, give yourself time and rest so you’re ready for it!

Rather than a resolution, try making a prediction about something in the coming year –

maybe something you’ll do or that will happen in your life.

What’s interesting about predictions is that they don’t have all the baggage that a resolution does but still retain the magic, which is that tiny kernel of desire in yourself.

Resolutions usually fail because the seed at the nexus of the resolution is based on what’s wrong with you and not what’s right, what you want or what you’re excited about.

When we make predictions, they’re positive and we look forward to seeing them occur — a lot like the excitement we experience opening a fortune cookie. That’s when magic happens in life.

After preparing the folder you should place a pair of  flutes or simple pieces of bamboo and tie them with a black and green ribbon. Place the flutes on the documents and place on a table on the right side of the main door. Then watch and you will see how things move fast and your wishes come true!

Add pictures of ships.

Ships represent good luck coming in and wealth arriving and are especially powerful career enhancers. Place pictures of ships in your office — especially by the door to indicate good luck sailing in. Make sure ships do not look like they are in rough seas or are dry-docked or out of water, symbolizing a ship going nowhere.

Be activated.

A dull office makes for a dull career. Your office should be bright (keeps lights on, open windows or blinds), should have life in it (small fish in aquarium, plants, pretty flowers), should have movement (small fan blowing or radio playing), gushes about you (pictures, clippings, certificates, diplomas, newspaper articles, letters of appreciation, pictures of you with celebrities or important people).

Keep a light in the entrance to your home turned on. A chandelier with crystal prisms that cast the different colors about the entryway is especially good. These are especially helpful if your stairs face or end close to the front door; good opportunities go right on out the door!

Light symbolizes knowledge. In our houses, Ishan kona means North East direction which is our origin of knowledge zone of our residence we also call this direction Guru Sthan.

We should increase your everlasting wealth before you go for your career growth, this support our over all growth, it remove darkness, it remove our ignorance.

The oil or ghee in the lamp symbolizes our vasanaas and the cotton wick, is the ego.

when we enlight diya and we pray for spiritual knowledge, the vasanas get slowly exhausted and ego perishes too. The flame of a lamp always burns upwards and similarly one should aquire knowledge as to take us towards better overall growth and career growth.

So please enlighten diya if you are seeking a growth in you wealth, don't forget to enlighten diya in your house everyday.

The water element is the first natural element that we come to know as humans. We are held in a sac of water in our mother’s stomach, the water cushioning and insulating us. We need water in our homes and our lives, yet too few homes have water. Sure, they have lots of blue colors but little actual water.

Make it a goal this year to bring water to your home in the form of a fountain, a pond, an aquarium, a water fall – even drinking more water.

Adding water to your environment will help to insulate you from the bumps of life.

Mind racing and life stress-filled? Visit a lake, pond or beach to clear your mind and find the answers you are looking for. The body knows before the mind, so if you find yourself unable to quench your thirst, be ready for a change to come to your life. It’s your body’s way of helping you to handle the change.

You are not the sum total of the days that have preceded this one. Destiny is what you make happen, history is what has happened to you. Sometimes you can just stand up and walk out of the past. The VAASTU trinity of luck is made up of one third of your actions – not your history.

Take charge of your life today and stop living like it was yesterday.
